GMSPAZIO joined the working group on hybrid warfare and the space domain during the Space and Underwater Conference. The session showed how modeling and simulation support operations in complex scenarios where conventional and unconventional threats need fast and data driven analysis. We presented BlueComm, a modeling and simulation engine for underwater acoustic communications and sonar sensors. BlueComm provides a controlled numerical environment useful to study acoustic propagation, assess link resilience and define operational configurations without expensive sea trials These capabilities are relevant in hybrid warfare where the interaction between physical and digital domains requires tools able to test variable conditions and identify vulnerabilities before real operations. Simulation speeds up threat assessment, supports quick decisions and reduces operational risks. The combination of environmental data, physical models and dynamic scenarios helps anticipate the effect of interference, disturbances or targeted actions on communication chains or sensors. Our participation highlighted how a digital approach helps manage the grey areas of hybrid warfare and strengthens multi domain security from the sea to space.
