Gaofen 4 (GF 4) is a geostationary earth observation satellite in the Gaofen series of Chinese civilian remote sensing satellites.

GF 4 features an visible light and infra-red staring optical imager with common optical system. The ground resolution for the visible light imager is 50 m and for the infra-red payload is 400 m. This payload allows the observation of China and the sourrounding areas with a high temporal resolution.

Gaofen 4 was launched in December 2015 on a CZ-3B/G2 rocket from China's Xichang space center and has been stationed at 105.5º East.
