Proxima 1 and 2 are pathfinder satellites for Fleet Space Technologies' planned network of Centauri satellites for global satellite connectivity to the Internet-of-Things (IoT).

The Proxima satellites are built to the 1.5U CubeSat form factor. They were manufactured by Pumpkin Space Systems on very short notice within two weeks.

Two satellites were launched in 2018 as secondary payloads on an Electron KS rocket.
