Jilin-1 Gaofen-02 satellites are a series of Chinese commercial remote sensing satellites for high resolution imaging within the Jilin-1 constellation designed and owned by the Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co.
The Jilin-1 Gaofen 02 satellites features an imaging system with a resolution of 0.75 m in panchromatic mode, better than 3 m in multispectral mode, an image swath of 40 km from a 535 km high orbit. The satellites operate in pussh-broom mode and are capable of imaging up to 45° off-track.
The first satellite, Jilin-1 Gaofen-02A (Jilin-1 Gaofen-02A), was launched in November 2019 on Kuaizhou-1A rocket from Jiuquan.
The second satellite, Jilin-1 Gaofen-02B (Jilin-1 Gaofen-02B), was launched in December 2019 on Kuaizhou-1A rocket from Taiyuan.
A third satellite, Jilin-1 Gaofen-02E (Jilin-1 Gaofen-02E) or BilibiliSat, was launched in July 2020 on the maiden Kuaizhou-11, but failed to reach orbit.
