INS 1C carries the MMX-TD (Miniature Multi Spectral Imager - Technology Demonstrator) payload developed by the Space Applications Centre (SAC). Data sent by this camera is useful for topographical mapping, vegetation monitoring, aerosol scattering studies and cloud studies.
